Quick answers to the most common questions. If yours is not here, write to us.

How does the retention period work?

When you swipe left, the item moves to Pending deletion with a deletion date: today plus the period you chose (1, 3, 7, 14, 30 or 60 days). With “Never”, it stays in the queue until you delete it yourself.

When the period ends, SavePiks sends you a notification and, when you open the app, asks you to confirm the deletion. If you cancel, nothing is deleted and it will not ask again for 24 hours.

You can change the period in Settings › Automatic deletion. If the new period is shorter, the app asks whether to apply it to items that are already pending.

How do I restore a photo or video?

As long as it is in Pending deletion, it has not been deleted from your gallery:

  • right after swiping, tap Undo;
  • or open the Pending tab and tap Restore on the item, select several and tap Restore selected, or use Restore all.

If you already confirmed the deletion, SavePiks cannot bring it back. On iOS, check the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app; on Android, it depends on your device and gallery app.

Why does my phone ask me to confirm the deletion?

Android and iOS require apps to get your explicit confirmation before deleting photos or videos. It is a safety net built into the system, and SavePiks cannot skip it. If you cancel, nothing is deleted and the items stay in Pending deletion.

How do I change my ad privacy options?

Open Settings › Privacy options in the app to review or change your consent. This entry appears when consent applies in your region (for example, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland).

You can also reset your advertising ID on Android (Settings › Privacy › Ads) or turn off tracking on iOS (Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking). More details in the Privacy Policy.

How do I delete all my data?

Uninstall SavePiks (or clear its data in the system settings). This removes the review database and your settings, which only exist on your device. Your photos and videos are not touched, including any that were pending.

We have no account or server copy of your data. For ad data held by Google, see thePrivacy Policy.
